Frequently Asked Questions

The version corresponds to a specific game patch, setting the available classes, systems, maps, and content scope. Earlier versions recreate the classic Conquer Online experience, while later versions include the full roster of eleven classes and expanded end-game content.

Early versions feature the base classes — Trojan, Warrior, Archer, and Taoist — with the straightforward PvP mechanics the game launched with in 2003–2004. Later versions introduced additional classes such as Ninja, Pirate, Dragon Warrior, and Windwalker, adding build variety and new content layers.

Preferences within the private server community range from nostalgia-driven early versions to more feature-rich later builds. The specific version of each server is stated in its listing, allowing you to filter by era.

Servers running earlier patches will only have the base four classes available, while mid-era and later versions progressively unlock Ninja, Monk, Pirate, Dragon Warrior, Windwalker, and others. Checking the version before choosing a server is important if a specific class is central to your build.

Select the version era that matches the class roster and content scope you prefer, then review the filtered listings for server type, rates, and level cap. Each project's description provides the detail needed to make a final choice.

Conquer Online and private servers in brief

Conquer Online is a 2.5D MMORPG released by TQ Digital (part of NetDragon) in 2003 in China and in 2004 internationally. The game is built around free PvP, Guild War sieges and a PK system with Black Name marks. The official server is still running in 2026, and private servers exist as an alternative: they reproduce a chosen version of the game and offer their own rates, class balance and set of mechanics.

Versions and classes

The base classes — Trojan, Warrior, Archer and Taoist (Water and Fire) — are available from the early versions. Later, Conquer Online 2.0 and beyond added Ninja, Monk and Pirate, while the 2014 and 2017 updates introduced Dragon Warrior and Windwalker. Private servers split into two directions: some preserve the 1.0–2.0 classic era without later systems (Jiang Hu, Chi Power), others carry newer patches with rebirths (Reborn, Metempsychosis) and Sub-Class. The in-game currency Conquer Points (CPs) and resources such as DragonBall and Meteor are used to upgrade equipment.

Rates, versions and server types in Conquer Online

Base rates and content sets define the pace of play. Low rates mean a long grind where each item matters, high rates a fast route into PvP. Before starting it is worth checking the server version, level cap, monetization model (whether power is sold for CPs) and Guild War activity. Below is a summary table of typical private server formats.

Server type Rates For whom Features
Classic (1.0–2.0 era) Low (x1–x5) Classic fans Base classes, no later systems. Long grind, value of rare items.
Mid-rate Medium (x10–x50) Balanced PvP players Moderate leveling, focus on class balance and manual resource farming.
High-rate High (x100+) Fast-PvP fans Quick start, accelerated gear collection, focus on Guild War and tournaments.
Modern (2.5 / 3.0) Medium Current-content lovers Later systems and classes: Sub-Class, Pirate, Windwalker, updated interface.
PvP / Custom Max level Those who want pure PvP Gear is issued or quickly farmed, focus on arenas and Guild War.
