Conquer Online Glossary
A reference guide to the terms you will encounter on Conquer Online private servers. Each entry briefly explains what a term means and how it affects your choice of server and your experience while playing. The terms are linked to each other, and you can jump straight from an entry to matching servers.
- Classes
- Conquer Online has several classes, and their number has grown with updates: the original Trojan, Warrior, Archer, and Taoist were later joined by Ninja, Monk, Pirate, and others. Classes differ noticeably in combat style, ranging from melee damage to magic and ranged attacks. The set of available classes depends on the server version, so it is worth checking before you commit, especially if a specific PvP role matters to you. - Reborn
- Reborn is a Conquer Online mechanic in which a character starts over after reaching a high level, keeping part of their strength while unlocking advanced options. Conquer allows a limited number of rebirths: the first and second (Metempsychosis), but no more. Rebirths are a key part of character progression and power, so it is worth checking a server's rules on them before choosing a project. Related: Classes, Sub-Class, Level Cap
- Sub-Class
- A Sub-Class is an additional class in Conquer Online that a character picks up alongside their main class, gaining new skills and bonuses. The system adds flexibility in progression and PvP preparation. The availability and settings of sub-classes depend on the server version, so it is worth confirming them if you plan to build a character around a specific skill combination. - Conquer Points (CPs)
- Conquer Points (CPs) are the premium currency of Conquer Online, used to buy valuable items, upgrades, and cosmetics. CPs are a major part of the game economy, and their availability on private servers varies widely: some hand them out freely, others keep them scarce. CP settings shape a server's balance and how dependent it is on spending, so they are worth reviewing before choosing a server. Related: DragonBall (weapon upgrade), Meteor (armor upgrade), Rates (x1, x50, x1000)
- DragonBall (weapon upgrade)
- DragonBall is a valuable Conquer Online item used to upgrade weapons and perform other equipment operations. DragonBall is highly prized and functions as one of the informal currencies traded between players. Its availability and price noticeably affect a server's economy, which makes DragonBall a routine part of preparing top-tier gear for PvP. Related: Meteor (armor upgrade), Conquer Points (CPs)
- Meteor (armor upgrade)
- Meteor is a Conquer Online item used to upgrade armor and gear, complementing the DragonBall system used for weapons. Meteor is needed to raise the quality of equipment and prepare a character for demanding content and PvP. Like DragonBall, Meteor is traded between players, so its availability and cost are part of a server's economy. Related: DragonBall (weapon upgrade), Conquer Points (CPs)
- Guild War
- Guild War is a recurring large-scale PvP event in Conquer Online in which guilds fight for control of a key objective and the status of the strongest. The winning guild receives rewards and influence within the server world. Guild War is Conquer's main organized PvP content, the reason guilds band together, so its activity shows how alive large-scale PvP is on a server. Related: PK and Black Name, PvP
- PK and Black Name
- PK (Player Killing) is the act of killing other players in the open world of Conquer Online. Killing peaceful players raises PK points, and once they reach a high level a character's name turns black (Black Name), which brings penalties, including the risk of item drops on death. The PK system discourages indiscriminate killing, so its rules are important for understanding how PvP works on a given server. Related: PvP, Guild War
- Versions (CO 1.0 / 2.0 / 3.0)
- Versions mark the major stages of Conquer Online's development: CO 1.0, CO 2.0, and CO 3.0, each of which added classes and systems and reshaped the balance. The version defines the available content and overall feel of the game, so it is one of the first things players check on the private server scene. A server's version is usually listed in its description alongside the level cap. Browse Versions (CO 1.0 / 2.0 / 3.0) servers Related: Classes, Level Cap, Classics
- Level Cap
- The level cap is the maximum level a character can reach on a server. On official Conquer Online the cap is 140, while private servers often use lower values such as 130, 135, or 137. The level cap defines the available content and the endgame point, so it is usually listed in a server's description alongside its version. - Classics
- Classics are Conquer Online private servers that recreate the game's early versions, with familiar balance and fewer systems in place. They appeal to players who prefer the old-school feel of Conquer's first years over later content. The Classics label in a description helps distinguish these servers from projects running modern versions with the full set of classes and mechanics. - Twin City (hub)
- Twin City is the central town of Conquer Online and serves as the main hub: players trade there, meet up, use NPC services, and set out on adventures from it. It is a landmark location familiar to every player from the early levels. Twin City is the heart of a server's social life, so activity there is a good indicator of how alive a project is. Related: Guild War, Steed / Mount
- Steed / Mount
- Mounts are riding creatures in Conquer Online that speed up travel around the world. Some can be upgraded and customized, which makes them more than just transportation — they also become a point of pride. Fast movement is useful for farming and taking part in events, so a mount is a routine part of an active player's gear on most servers. Related: Twin City (hub), Conquer Points (CPs)
- PvP
- PvP (player versus player) refers to combat between players rather than against monsters. In Conquer Online, PvP centers on the open world, the PK system, guild wars, and arenas. The game has historically positioned itself around classic PvP, which is why many servers make it their main focus. If you enjoy competing against real opponents, look for projects with active PvP. Browse PvP servers Related: PK and Black Name, Guild War, Rates (x1, x50, x1000)
- Rates (x1, x50, x1000)
- Rates are multipliers for the speed of gaining experience, item drops, and currency compared to the official game. A low-rate server keeps progression slow and close to the original, while a high-rate server speeds up the path to rebirths and PvP. Rates are one of the main factors players use to pick a server, so they are usually listed early in a description, alongside the version. - Conquer Online Private Server
- A private server is a project run by a team of enthusiasts outside the game's official infrastructure. Such servers set their own version, rates, Conquer Points availability, and balance, which is why projects differ noticeably from one another. Conquer private servers let players enjoy classic versions or accelerated progression — and that is exactly what to look at when choosing one.
